Neomycin, Polymixin B, and Hydrocrotisone Otic (Cortisporin Otic, OtiTricin, Pediotic, Antibiotic Ear Suspension)

Description:

  • Antipruritic, anti-inflammatory, and antibacterial combination

Indications:

  • Superficial infections of the external auditory canal

Contraindications:

  • Hypersensitivity to any component

  • Perforated tympanic membrane

Adverse Reactions (Side Effects):

  • burning, itching

Dosage:

Administered topically into ear canal

  • The usual dose is 4 drops instilled 3 or 4 times daily.

Special considerations:

  • Do not insert dropper into ear canal

  • Keep ear tilted for 2 minutes, or insert a soft cotton plug
