Salicylic Acid Plasters (Mediplast)

Category:

  • Keratolytic

Description:

  • Anti-wart agent

Indications:

  • Common warts, plantar warts (generally use cream, lotion, or gel)

  • Removal of excessive keratin in hyperkeratotic skin disorders (generally use cream, lotion, or gel)

  • Calluses, corns

Contraindications:

  • Prolonged use, diabetes, irritated skin, infected skin

  • Use on moles, birthmarks, or warts with hair growing from them; genital or facial warts; warts on mucous membranes

Precautions:

  • Pregnancy category C

  • Children

Adverse Reactions (Side Effects):

  • SKIN: burning, local irritation

Dosage:

Apply externally only

  • Adult and child: TOP cut to size that covers corn or callus, apply and leave in place for 48 hours; do not exceed 5 applications over 2 week period
